Calibration according to the temperature

The purpose of this exclusive service is to learn exactly how sensitive accelerometers are depending on the working temperature.

In some cases, this value is not clearly stated even by the accelerometer manufacturers themselves, yet in a temperature range between -40°C and +140°C it is not uncommon to find sensitivity deviations in the order of tens of percentage points.

There are many reasons why it is necessary to acquire data on how real sensitivity is influenced by temperature. The main points:

  • avoiding the use of an unreliable accelerometer for the climatic conditions foreseen and therefore submitting a sample to a test that is substantially different from the test programmed.
  • avoiding the application of unnecessary stress on a sample due to the decrease in accelerometer sensitivity caused by a drop in temperature.
