A typical problem with transport tests is explaining to customers what they consist of. Explaining all the sort of tests and the various options when planning them can be complicated.
We have made this video to help overcome this difficulty. It is intended as a support tool and in no way replaces a qualified consultant.
The tests shown are not complete and many steps are accelerated for editorial reasons, but this should not affect its purpose.

The TWINS - new testing machine by CENTROTECNICA
It's been designed to meet the rail industry's needs for testing heavy and bulky underbody components, its three possible configurations allow it to test large-scale specimens in general:
•1 — With "hanging" specimens: (such as the aforementioned underbody parts), utilizing a suspended frame and hydraulic shakers in a push-pull configuration (see photo), eliminating the need for expensive and heavy fixtures.
•2 — With specimens on a slip table: for traditional mounting with shakers in either push-pull or push-push configurations, depending on the dimensions of the specimen.
The suspended frame is designed for axis changes without removing the specimen, allowing for significant time savings during the test setup phase.
The TWINS further strengthens the competitiveness of our laboratory’s services—already the most extensive in Europe in the field of vibration—making it a benchmark for the rail industry and a versatile option for automotive and transport testing.
The TWINS is already operational and is complemented by a 160 kN 4-Poster for the same tests on the vertical axis.
